1. About These Terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of www.pentaceptreporters.com and any related webpages, digital features or services operated by Pentacept Enterprises Limited under the Pentacept Reporters name. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Pentacept Enterprises Limited, trading as Pentacept Reporters. "You" means any visitor, reader, contributor or other person using the website.

By accessing or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the website. Additional terms may apply to particular services, competitions, events, subscriptions, purchases, interviews or contributor relationships. Where specific written terms conflict with these general terms, the specific terms will apply to that service or relationship.

2. Who May Use the Website

The website is intended for a general audience. You must use it lawfully and be capable of accepting these terms. If you use the website on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

Some content may address serious, sensitive or adult themes in a legitimate news or public-interest context. Parents and guardians should supervise children's internet use. If we introduce a service with an age requirement, that requirement will be displayed separately.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, business practices or the law. The current version and effective date will be published on this page. 4. Access and Availability

Access to the website is generally provided free of charge unless a paid feature is clearly identified. We may change, suspend, restrict or withdraw any part of the website for operational, security, editorial, legal or commercial reasons. 5. Editorial Content and Reliance

Pentacept Reporters publishes news, interviews, analysis, opinion, reviews and other editorial material. We aim to report accurately and fairly, but content is provided for general information and may become outdated as events develop. Publication does not promise that every item is complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing on the website is personalised legal, financial, investment, medical, immigration, tax, cybersecurity or other professional advice. You should verify important information with an authoritative source and obtain appropriate professional advice before making a decision. Views expressed by interviewees, guest writers, commentators or contributors are their own unless we expressly state otherwise.

Alleged inaccuracies should be reported under our Corrections Policy. We may correct, clarify, update, annotate, archive or remove content where editorially or legally appropriate.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website and its original articles, graphics, logos, branding, layout, photographs, video, audio and other materials are owned by or licensed to Pentacept Enterprises Limited and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

You may view the website and print or download a reasonable extract for personal, non-commercial use. You may link to a publicly accessible article in a fair and lawful way, provided the link does not imply endorsement or association and does not damage our reputation.

Without our prior written permission, you must not:

  • republish, reproduce, sell, license or commercially exploit a substantial part of our content;
  • remove copyright notices, credits, watermarks or other ownership information;
  • frame, mirror or present the website as part of another service in a misleading way;
  • systematically scrape, harvest, copy or build a database from the website;
  • use our content, branding or data to train, fine-tune or evaluate an artificial intelligence system; or
  • use the Pentacept Reporters name, logo or visual identity without written permission.

These terms do not restrict any use that the law expressly permits, including applicable fair dealing rights. Requests for republication, licensing or syndication should be sent to hello@pentaceptreporters.com.

7. User Submissions and Contributions

If you submit a comment, tip, letter, photograph, video, audio recording, article, correction, event information or other material, you retain any ownership rights you hold. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, edit, translate, format, publish, distribute and promote the submission in connection with Pentacept Reporters and its channels. This licence allows us to operate the service and publicise the relevant publication. A separate contributor, interview or media consent agreement may provide more specific terms and will take priority where applicable.

You confirm that your submission:

  • is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not deliberately misleading;
  • is your own work, is properly licensed, or may lawfully be supplied and used;
  • does not unlawfully infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, data protection or other rights;
  • does not contain unlawful threats, harassment, hate, defamation, fraud, malicious code or other illegal material; and
  • does not reveal confidential source information or another person's sensitive details without a lawful and justified reason.

We may reject, edit, moderate, delay, disable or remove submissions. Submission does not guarantee publication. We may preserve and disclose relevant records where required by law, needed to protect rights or safety, or necessary to investigate misuse. Confidential sources should use the secure contact method specified by our editorial team and should not assume that an ordinary website form or email is confidential.

You must not impersonate another person or coordinate manipulation of the service.

We may use automated and human moderation. You can report content or conduct to hello@pentaceptreporters.com. We will consider reports in light of the content, context, applicable law, safety and freedom of expression. We may restrict participation or retain evidence of serious misuse. If the website provides a regulated user-to-user service, we will also apply applicable duties under the Online Safety Act 2023.

  • probe, scan or test vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation;

11. External Links and Third-Party Services

The website may link to third-party websites, social media, products, services or documents. Links are provided for context or convenience and do not necessarily amount to endorsement. 13. Privacy and Cookies

We take reasonable measures to protect the website, but no internet service can be guaranteed completely secure or free from bugs, viruses or harmful code. 15. Our Responsibility to You

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control, or result from your unlawful or improper use. We do not exclude any statutory consumer rights.

If you use the website for business purposes, to the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and will not be liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill, data or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising from free website access will not exceed £100, except where the law does not permit that limitation. Any separate paid-service terms may specify a different limit.

16. Responsibility for Your Breach

If you use the website for business purposes, you will be responsible for reasonable losses, liabilities, costs and expenses we incur because your content or conduct unlawfully infringes another person's rights or materially breaches these terms. This provision does not apply to the extent a loss was caused by us, and it does not reduce rights available to consumers under law.

↑ Back to contents

17. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, created a security or legal risk, harmed another person, abused a community feature or interfered with the website. Where appropriate and lawful, we may give a warning or an opportunity to appeal. Provisions concerning intellectual property, submitted content, liability, records, governing law and accrued rights continue after termination where their nature requires it.

18. General Legal Terms

If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. These terms do not create a partnership, agency, employment relationship or joint venture. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a reorganisation, sale or transfer of the website, provided this does not reduce consumer protections.

No person other than you and Pentacept Enterprises Limited has a right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, except where a provision expressly says otherwise.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right a consumer has to bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom or other country where they live. Before starting formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter.
